Integrative Counselling

What is it?

Integrative counselling combines different therapeutic approaches to create a personalised treatment plan tailored to the unique needs of each individual. This flexible approach allows the counsellor to draw on a range of psychological theories and techniques, ensuring that the therapy is adapted to suit the client’s specific emotional and mental health requirements. It acknowledges that no single method works for everyone, promoting a holistic understanding of the person’s experiences.

By blending elements of humanistic, psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioural, and other counselling models, integrative counselling supports clients in exploring their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours in a safe, supportive environment. This method fosters personal growth, emotional healing, and resilience, helping individuals both adults and children to overcome difficulties and improve their wellbeing.

Sessions can be accessed in person, online, or through walking and talking therapy, providing flexible options to suit each client’s preferences and lifestyle.

If you are interested in non-talking, less directive help and struggle to identify and talk about your emotions, Art therapy gives you the opportunity to explore your feelings in a completely non-intrusive way. Work at your own pace to explore what you desire. Choose from drawing, sand-play or Lego, which ever you feel comfortable with. No talking required, unless you want to, just play!

Session lengths vary dependent on age.

It all begins with an idea. Drawing provides the opportunity to powerfully express yourself through your own art work. You don’t have to worry about being great at drawing to express yourself, your pencil strokes are unique to you and every mark that you make will be part of your own personal healing journey. Whatever it maybe. Telling your story your way is all that matters.
