EBSA Counselling & Support in Warwickshire
I have experience supporting children and young people experiencing Emotionally Based School Avoidance (EBSA), school-related anxiety and difficulties with attendance. I take time to understand what may be behind a young person's distress, including anxiety, neurodivergence, sensory needs, emotional overwhelm, relationships and experiences within school. My approach is compassionate, person-centred and neurodiversity-affirming, helping children feel heard and understood rather than judged. Where talking feels difficult, creative approaches such as drawing, sand tray and Lego can offer alternative ways to explore and communicate their experiences.
